    If you already know your travel dates then we recommend finalising your trip ASAP. We can accept a deposit in advance of your trip if you wish to pay in instalments – get in touch about our payment plans!

    We cannot guarantee your spot on any tour until we have secured your booking, by taking full payment. When we book a seat for you, the operator removes this spot from sale. If you cancel your trip or don’t turn up, the operator may not be able to re-sell your spot and therefore ends up with an empty seat on the tour that could have been filled by someone else. This is also why we have cancellation policies in place.

    • 4 to 6 weeks before travel – 20% of fare
    • 2 to 4 weeks before travel — 50% of Fare
    • Less than 14 days before travel – 100% of fare

    We cannot refund the cost of your trip if it falls within these time frames, in any of the following circumstances;

    • Injury or sickness.
    • Delayed, rescheduled or missed flights.
    • Climatic, social or political problems.

    However, we may be able to help you with your travel insurance claim and we will, of course, do anything we can to assist you with the impact of any of these unforeseen circumstances on your travel plans. Please contact us if this applies to you.

    The Mindful Travel Co. uses the travel consolidator Website Travel (ABN 37 108 914 594) to handle all funds on behalf of our customers. Website Travel is fully bonded by the Travel Compensation Fund in Australia, hence guaranteeing any payments made.

    That depends on the trip you have booked!

    We offer a few different types of travel:

    1. A tour: This could be a day trip or a trip that is a few days long, led by a helpful guide. You will be with the same group for the entire tour.
    2. An activity: A single activity such as a Skydive or Kayak trip – these single activities are run by a guide or operator. If you aren’t sure when you want to do the activity we can book this for you ‘open dated’ so you can lock in a date later! You will be with the same group throughout the activity.
    3. A Mindful Travel Co. package: This is a package created by us, made up of several guided tours, accommodation and bus pass. We have created these packages to include must do locations and activities, guided by our favourite tour operators. The accommodation in these packages is included and we have hand picked the best hostels to include – tried and tested by us! These packages also include your transport and we will book your seat for you for each leg of your trip. Because we make these packages ourselves, we can personalise them to fit with your dates and travel plans! Although you may run into a lot of the same people along the way, you won’t be with the same group of people for this whole package because it is a combination of different, individual tours and activities. PLEASE NOTE: If you are booking with us as a group, we will of course book you all on to the same itinerary.
    4. Guided trip: This is a fully guided trip where everything is taken care of for you by your guide. You will be with the same group throughout this trip.

    If you are unsure if you are on a guided or non guided tour, please check with us prior to booking!

    You don’t need travel insurance to book with The Mindful Travel Co. but we highly recommend that all customers take out a travel insurance policy. If travel insurance is compulsory rather than recommended then we will let you know. Contact us for a travel insurance quote!

    Although we take care of everything for you, there are sometimes questions that our tour operators just need to hear from you! Such as dietary or medical requirements, physical fitness levels, your pick up and drop off location, etc.

    We strongly recommend that you contact the tour operator directly (contact details are on your travel vouchers) to re-confirm your booking 48 hours before departure, to confirm your intent to travel and clear up any last minute questions!
