Adelaide & South Australia

South Australia is known for its beautiful beaches, stunning wildlife and wonderful wines! Here you’ll find the unique city of Adelaide with its many festivals and laid back city vibe.

Known locally as rAdelaide, Adelaide is known as the festival state and for good reason! ‘Mad March’ is an annual month of different festivals including the Fringe and WOMAD. In May the Royal Croquet Club comes to town and takes over Victoria Square for 2 weeks of epic music events + games of croquet.

Just outside the city in the Adelaide Hills is Mount Lofty Summit, the majestic peak of the Mount Lofty Ranges, providing spectacular panoramic views across Adelaide’s city skyline to the coast. From the summit, you can follow the walking trails down to Waterfall Gully or to Cleland Wildlife Park.

Also within reach are the stunning wine regions of the Barossa Valley and Maclaren Vale. South Australia is famous for its wines and makes an especially good Shiraz! Not too far away, and reachable for a day trip or even better an overnight stay, is the wildlife haven of Kangaroo Island. Here you’ll find kangaroos, koalas, possums, seals and many more amazing opportunities to get up close and personal with Australia’s unique wildlife.

If it’s sealife that you’re after then Port Lincoln, located just a short flight or drive away, is definitely for you! Here you can cage dive with Great White Sharks and swim with sea lions.
