Byron Bay & Surrounds

Home to many boho boutiques, world-renowned beaches and the famous Byron Bay lighthouse. Expect barefoot surfers, local craft & produce markets, drum circles at sunset and a super chilled vibe.

This epic part of the coast has several beaches and is world-famous for its surfing, whale watching, rural beauty and a laidback lifestyle. We recommend that you try a surf lesson or go for a kayak to get up close and personal with Byron’s resident dolphins and turtles.

You can also go whale watching between the months of June and November and this is such an amazing experience. Not far from Byron is the quirky town of Nimbin, which is a fun day for when you’re done exploring the ‘Byron bubble’.

A dreamy day in the Bay would start early, to watch the sunrise up at the Byron Bay lighthouse – Australia’s most Easterly point. Then hit up one of the many amazing coffee shops for a truly delicious coffee (don’t forget your KeepCup!) to enjoy while you browse the boutiques for hidden treasures.

Next, pack your beach bag and head to any one of Byron’s 9 stunning beaches to swim, surf and unwind. Finish the day and catch the sunset with a few drinks and maybe a dance at one of the many cool night spots. Get some sleep and repeat the next day!
