Cairns Attractions

The relaxed city of Cairns is famous for it’s two World Heritage-listed sites; The Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. As well as these two bucket list locations, there are plenty of other Cairns Attractions.

Cairns is often the first or last stop for anyone traveling Australia’s East Coast because there’s so much to do here! Located in Far North Queensland, Cairns is a city with a tropical feel (there are palm trees EVERYWHERE) centred around the Cairns Esplanade – a scenic promenade lined with shops, restaurants and bars, a marina and even a swimming lagoon.

Cairns is the activity centre of Australia and you’ll have the chance to go bungy jumping, skydiving, white water rafting and hot air ballooning! Or, get a completely different view of the surrounding areas of Cairns by exploring the stunning Kuranda. This vibrant arts community is accessible by train or skyrail, or a mixture of both, and provides stunning views from above the rainforest canopy.
