Darwin & Top End

Darwin is the tropical capital city of the Northern Territory. You’ll find strong Aboriginal cultures here, as well as markets, crocodile encounters + sunset cruises aplenty.

Darwin is a great base for visiting Litchfield + Kakadu National Parks, and is easily accessible by international flights directly from Asia, and by domestic flight from cities such as Cairns, Broome + Alice Springs.

There’s plenty to do come nightfall in Darwin, with a multitude of craft breweries, bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. Two of Darwin’s most popular attractions are the sunset markets and Deckchair Cinema.

On Thursdays and Sundays with over 200 unique stalls, the Mindil Beach Sunset Market is the heart of Darwin’s cultural melting pot + truly epitomises the word ‘multicultural’. The Deckchair Cinema is a large open air cinema on Darwin Harbour where you can bring a picnic or enjoy dinner from local caterers, and watch a range of foreign, classic and family friendly films.

Another popular attraction is Crocosaurus Cove, in the heart of the City, it’s the only place in Australia you can dive with a crocodile! Learn about these animals’ history + even hold a baby saltwater croc!
