Just 90 minutes from Melbourne you’ll find Phillip Island, home to the world-famous Penguin Parade, great beaches and wildlife. Phillip Island is home to a colony of around 32,000 Little Penguins and its biggest attraction is the daily penguin parade.
Each night, hundreds (sometimes thousands) of penguins emerge from the surf and waddle ashore to find safety in their burrows after a long day at sea. These penguins are the Eudyptula Minor — the tiniest penguins in the world! There’s plenty to see on the island before the Penguin Parade starts, so why not make a day of it?
